Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Please pray for the security and safety of Kenya due to the presidential election held on this past Thursday December 27!

The election results are very close, and both the leading candidates (one is the incumbent) are claiming victory and accusing the other of voter fraud. Because results have been officially announced late, things are starting to get restless politically. Violence, turmoil and riots have started everywhere in the country; people in many towns along the highway have set up road blocks and create chaos, including burning tires, throwing rocks, and rioting. And people are getting killed—much of it is getting tribal because both these candidates are from different tribes.

We are currently in Taiwan for visiting our parents and relatives, and we have planed to postpone our return to Kenya to January 6.

Our children’s school that is a Missionary Kids’ school has officially announced that the new school term will be postponed one week due to security concerns.

Please pray:
(1) for the peace of the country,
(2) for our return schedule to be settled as soon as possible, and
(3) for the safety of all missionaries serving in Kenya.
